Technician

We are looking for an individual to support lab scale testing of rocket engines.
This testing includes hot fire testing of lab scale rocket engines and cold flow testing of rocket injectors.
This is for an entry level or above position in which the employee has or is willing to learn the necessary skills to support engine testing.
These skills include, but not limited to;Familiarity with installing tubing (cutting, flaring, bending, etc.
)Maintaining cleanliness of oxygen and kerosene systemsWorking around high pressure systems approaching 10,000 psiHanding rocket propellants (kerosene, high pressure oxygen, cryogenic liquids, etc.
)Following written proceduresWilling to wear the required personal protection equipmentAbility to read and build to engineering drawingsWorking with and installing delicate instrumentation (pressure transducers, thermocouples, etc.
)Solder instrumentation wiresProgram PLCRun DATA acquisition systemsWorking around delicate instrumentation (pressure transducers, thermocouples, etc.
)Make and break instrumentation cablesMaintaining an orderly work environmentThe candidate will also be expected to perform additional duties such as maintaining inventories of working stock, specifying and ordering necessary components, and performing and documenting periodic maintenance of equipment.
Candidates will receive on the job training and be expected to work as a member of a small team.
Candidates with more experience may also be considered.
Not all of these skills are quired, but knowing some would be helpful.

Inventory of items normally used for testing, and purchasing items that are needed for testing.
Vehicles, forklifts, etc.
- Will be trained on all vehicles as neededTools used in trade - All tubing equipment, some light machining, and most hand tools use is required.
Criticality of AttendanceNo overtime unless required for the project.
We work a compressed schedule (9hours 4 days 8 hours every other Friday, 0 hours every other Friday)Shift - 1stNecessity for regular attendance - Yes, you will need to work everyday Qualifications :
Minimum Education - High SchoolExperience/Training - these skills are desired but not necessaryBasic automotive mechanical skillsBasic understanding of electronicsBasic computer skillsWilling to learn new skillsMost of the training can be done on the job.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
