Aerospace Engineer - Principal

WANTED: A Principal Aerospace Engineer with experience performing the full spectrum of Engineering duties and an advanced understanding of Engineering principles.

A week in the life of a Principal Aerospace Engineer:
Provide full-aircraft aerodynamic configuration analysis support for the full complement of Dryden research aircraft and flight test beds.
Support analysis of unique research payloads and/or fly at conditions that the airplanes were not originally designed for and alternative aircraft control techniques using either conventional control surfaces and/or unique one-of-a-kind aerodynamic and propulsive control effectors.
Provide full-aircraft aerodynamic configuration analyses for a large variety of aircraft, ranging from high altitude, long endurance UAV's and subscaled flying prototypes to full-scale transport and fighter aircraft types.
Support new project advocacy work, preliminary design reviews, critical design reviews, flight readiness reviews, tech briefs, mishap investigation boards, external collaborations, etc.
Coordinate work with organizations involved with aerodynamic configuration analysis for use in flight simulation, flight loads analysis, aircraft structure analysis, and aircraft flow field surveys.
Create project schedules to track progress on projects and to ensure that deadlines are met.
Analyze indicated and calculated results in relation to requirements, specifications, or test objectives.
Analyze project objectives and requirements, develop plans for conducting projects, provide support for the project safety review process, including participation in the development of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, documentation of hazards, and the specification and implementation of mitigations to those hazards.
Review project instructions to ascertain requirements, specifications, procedures, objectives, equipment, nature of technical problem, and possible solutions.
Set up and conduct tests or studies of complete systems, components, or concepts under research test conditions to investigate proposals for improving performance or other factors; or to obtain data for development, standardization, and quality control with some supervisory direction and review.
Record test or report procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and make recommendations for changes.
Create reports and other documentation necessary to describe the results of studies and/or tests.
Analyze indicated and calculated results in relation to requirements, specifications, or test objectives.
Mentors engineers in specific technical areas and/or the system engineering process and project management principles.
Perform work in accordance with NASA ISO AS9100 procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements
Bachelors degree in Engineering or Physical Science with 15 years of experience
Masters degree in Engineering or Physical Science with 13 years of experience
PhD degree in Engineering or Physical Science with 10 years of experience
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Application of Engineering principles and Systems Engineering processes.
Must be able to work and lead efforts in a dynamic and multi-task work environment by prioritizing work and coordinating task/project schedules.
Must be able to manage and decompose requirements in specific technical areas.
Strong communications and ability to work in a team environment a must.
Experience in one or more of the following technology areas are highly desirable: in installing, maintaining, and using a variety of aerodynamic configuration codes ranging in complexity from vortex lattice, panel method, full potential flow to Euler and Navier-Stokes CFD codes together with the associated pre- and post-processing tools is required.
Experience in aircraft performance analysis, wind tunnel test data reduction, and aircraft aerodynamic database development.
Experience in unsteady aerodynamics and aircraft payload separation is highly desired.
Employee exercises a high degree of originality and sound judgment in formulating, evaluating, and correlating broad engineering research concepts, guiding the analysis of unique problems.
Employee may apply standard methodologies but is responsible for innovative thinking, problem solving, and independent judgment in resolving complex issues.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
