Position : Windows Server Administrator
Location : Edwards AFB, CA

We are currently looking for a Windows Server Administrator who will provide system administration support for data center Windows, VMware, and Hyper-V servers at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center, to include special purpose applications and commercial applications and services.
This role is located at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center on Edwards Air Force Base, near Palmdale/Lancaster, CA. As a part of this team, you will be required to work a 9/80 schedule with typical hours of 7:30am-5:00pm.
+ Performs regular monitoring and maintenance of data center Windows servers, VMware infrastructure, Hyper-V infrastructure, and hosted VMs.
+ Assists the Information System Security Officer to ensure proper System Security Plan documentation and adherence to security configuration requirements.
+ Ensures all supported systems are maintained at the required security compliance levels for patches, vulnerability mitigations, and OS configurations under the US Government Configuration Baseline standards.
+ Maintains inventory databases for supported systems and ensures regular review of database records.
+ Performs system performance and integration testing to ensure system configurations meet customer requirements.
+ Develops and maintains all documentation (including baseline configurations, as well as Work Instructions/Processes) in support of systems to ensure continuity of support and compliance within the System Security Plans.

+ Bachelor's degree in technology related field or equivalent years of experience
+ 2-4 years of related work experience
+ Experience performing systems administration tasks using Windows Server 2012 & 2016, as well as VMware ESXi 6 and Hyper-V virtualization platforms.
+ Experience using the Microsoft System Center suite to monitor and manage systems.
+ Experience with Microsoft Active Directory structures, group management, GPOs, and device management.
+ Experience working within an enterprise network environment and configuring systems for use on different vLANs and firewalls.
+ Experience with computer hardware and software troubleshooting methodologies.
+ Strong written and verbal communications skills.
+ Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
