Currently Viper is hiring a Security Administrator at Edwards Air Force Base, CA (28 miles NE of Lancaster).
Relocation assistance is available.
This position will support the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Autonomics Logistics Information System (ALIS), a cutting-edge supply chain and aircraft maintenance system, and the work performed will have a significant impact on its success.
The Security Administrator will execute policies, practices and procedures that properly manage the full data lifecycle needs of ALIS.
The position will be primarily concerned with acquisition, loading, processing, transferring and protecting Air Vehicle maintenance, supply and performance data.
The Database Application Support Administrator is expected to perform data management, maintain and perform backup/restore/disaster recovery plans and processes, and provide database/application support.
Responsibilities:
Implement upgrades, patches, and other modifications required to keep the tools up-to-date to guard against sophisticated cyber-attacks Monitor server logs, firewall logs, intrusion detection and prevention logs, and network traffic (wired and wireless) for unusual or suspicious activity, and interpret and make recommendations for resolution Make decisions on complex or ambiguous IT administration issues, coordinate with users to determine requirements, and ensure system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored, finding ways to increase efficiency Implement, support and problem solve infrastructure security solutions which include both technologies and processes Assess current and planned applications and systems, identifying security protection issues and proactively identify and modify controls to protect against sophisticated cyber-attacks Implement technologies and plans for a mature security program Proactively work across organization and with external parties to remediate security gaps Proactively identify zero-day vulnerabilities, abnormal behavioral patterns, security trends, and sophisticated cyber-attack techniques to enhance the security program and safeguard the environment Requirements:
American Citizenship and a DoD Secret Clearance which has been adjudicated within the past 6 years Willingness to support multiple shifts, i.

, days or nights as needed The ability to obtain a U.
S.
Government Special Access Program (SAP) access CompTIA Security+ certification 2-5 years' experience in security administration in a large, complex environment Experience with enterprise class security products such as web proxy, reverse proxy, load balancing, IDS/IPS, DLP, Firewall, IPsec/SSL VPN, WAN/LAN, DDOS, wireless and remote connectivity Ability to work under pressure and to respond quickly Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills Ability to explain problems as well as solve them Excellent documentation skills Join our team of highly talented professionals who are motivated to make our customers' programs a success.
