Principal Field Service Specialist at Raytheon Technologies in Edwards, CA
Raytheon Technologies is currently seeking a qualified Principal Field Engineer to fill a long-term position on the Global Hawk program located at Edwards AFB, CA. Basic tasking includes but is not limited to the following:
Installing HW/SW, the checkout and debug of HW /SW, design and develop solutions to problems discovered through installation, checkout, and the use of the system. Perform post system analysis as required to determine root cause of issues. Assist with the design, development and implement solutions or coordinate with customer and plant engineers to resolve anomalies found during flight test. Interface with customers on short-term and long-term technical, operational, mission related and deployment requirements. Develop, coordinate and implement plans to achieve customer requirements. Analyze system performance vs. technical requirements, research and make HW /SW improvement recommendations. Required Skills:

years HW /SW maintenance/ troubleshooting/ design skills for Linux/UNIX systems. - UNIX general system administration. - General knowledge of networking (servers/hubs/switches/routers) and TCP /IP. - Active Secret Clearance or above. Desired Skills:
- UNIX coding/ debugging; - Experience in LANs, long haul links, RF links, VOiP, and data communications. - Experience with Linux/Unix scripting, C++, Java, Perl, Python, Sybase, and/ or SQL. - Experience with Linux/Unix tools, YUM, and Pacemaker. - Experience with Cyber Security tools, McAfee SIEM, SolarWinds, HBSS, and ACAS. - Experience on SUN and/ or SGI workstations - Cryptos KG75/175. RF and data links. Any familiarity with the Global Hawk Ground Segment a plus. Required Education (including Major):
Related Bachelor's degree +5 years of technical work experience. May consider 8 additional years of work experience in lieu of degree requirement. This position requires either a U.S. Person or a Non-U.S. Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
